We provide you with comprehensive and personal support in all matters relating to your SOCAR Card for business customers. Our SOCAR Card Center will help you from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

With the SOCAR Card, you can charge your electric vehicle at fixed and transparent rates known in advance – both within the SOCAR Charge charging network, offering particularly attractive prices, and across our partner networks. Monthly invoice
The comprehensive monthly statement is VAT compliant and saves you collecting individual receipts. It shows all transactions per card including information about the petrol station, product, date and price. If desired, the mileage per tank filling is also listed. The digital version saves you paper and space.

Sustainability projects
The SOCAR Card Classico allows you to support environmental sustainability projects. You can choose between three different projects:
- 1 centime per litre: support for a forest conservation project in Brazil.
- 3 centimes per litre: support for climate protection projects in Brazil, Uruguay and Switzerland.
- 5 centimes per litre: support for climate protection projects in Brazil, Uruguay and Switzerland.

Card renewal
Before your SOCAR Card expires, you will automatically receive a new one without having to worry about it yourself.

The SOCAR Card Forte for business customers is accepted at more than 450 petrol stations (SOCAR and Tamoil) in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

It also lists the mileage at the time of tanking, if you order your card with the option of entering the mileage. You can save paper and space with the digital version.

SOCAR Diplomatic Card
Tax-exempt mobility for diplomatic missions in Switzerland
The SOCAR Diplomatic Card is a fuel card specifically developed for diplomatic representations, embassies and missions in Switzerland. It is available for both official and private vehicles and is issued according to diplomatic eligibility.
It enables tax-exempt fuel purchases in accordance with Swiss regulations while simplifying administrative processes. The card has been designed specifically for the needs of diplomatic users and offers an efficient and transparent solution for official vehicles.
With the SOCAR Diplomatic Card, you gain access to more than 200 fuel stations across Switzerland, including:
- 25 stations in the Lake Geneva region
- 38 stations in the Zurich region
- 47 stations in the Central Plateau / Northwestern Switzerland
- Online application via SOCAR (see below) or via the FOCBS
- Tax exemption: no VAT and reimbursement of the mineral oil tax within the limits of 90 L/day and 500 L/month
- Free diplomatic card with no card or administrative fees and no transaction surcharges
- Validity: 3 years (temporary card: 3 months)

Who is eligible to apply for a SOCAR Diplomatic Card?
The SOCAR Diplomatic Card is available to diplomats, permanent missions, embassies, consulates and international organisations officially accredited in Switzerland in accordance with the FOCBS procedure.
Is the SOCAR Diplomatic Card valid at all SOCAR stations?
Yes, the SOCAR Diplomatic Card is valid at all SOCAR stations.
Can the card be used for private and official vehicles?
Yes. Two application types are available:
- “Diplomatic official vehicle”
- “Diplomatic private vehicle”

How does the tax exemption work?
How does billing work?
The SOCAR Diplomatic Card is free of charge and no transaction surcharges apply. Billing is issued in CHF with a 15-day payment term. Payment can conveniently be made via e-invoice or direct debit from a Swiss bank account.
Is there a maximum amount for tax-exempt fuel purchases?
Yes. Purchases must not exceed 90 litres per day and 500 litres per month. There is no minimum quantity.
Is the Diplomatic Card linked to a vehicle?
Yes, the SOCAR Diplomatic Card is vehicle-specific and registered for the respective vehicle.
What happens if the limits are exceeded?
The mineral oil tax reimbursement is processed quarterly. If fuel purchases exceed the defined limits, additional standard SOCAR Cards may be requested. However, no tax refund will be granted for this additional volume.
How does the mineral oil tax refund work in practice?
How does renewal work after 3 years?
The permanent SOCAR Diplomatic Card is valid for three years. After expiration, a new application must be submitted, as renewal is not automatic.
What is the advantage compared to a standard SOCAR Card?
The SOCAR Diplomatic Card is free of charge, with no transaction surcharges. Within the defined limits no VAT applies, and there is also the possibility of quarterly mineral oil tax reimbursement.
